Don't worry about the zip uploads bit.

When you go on to the site, what pic can't you see? This is what I see on the homepage - what do/don't you see?

If I understand you correctly, it sounds like you're having issues seeing the IC thumbnails.

1. If that's right, I assume you can't see any of the three thumbnail images below. What do you see? Red crosses or similar?
2. When you click on what should be one of the thumbnails below, it should link to a large photo on the IC website. Do you see the full size photos? If not, what happens & what can you see?
3. What browser are you using? Have you tried a different browser?

ImageChunk seem to be having problems today, slow and glitchy for me, with a lot "500 internal errors" cropping up.

I guess we will have to patient whilst they get it fixed. I guess they didn't iron out all the bugs with the new system.

ADDITION : Damn the Caps & Vids threads are a pain. Virtually impossible to view, as it takes forever to load the images from ImageChunk. Sad

You don't realise until you get a problem like this, just heavily this forum relies on ImageChunk's service, to provide image storage.

God forbid if ImageChunk crashed or folded completely what would happen. The Caps and Vids Threads would virtually disappear over night.

I just wish there was some form of back-up in place.

I've not had any problem uploading pics today, but some threads with a lot of caps have been very slow to load for moderator management.

RE: ImageChunk Problem - aceman65 - 30-04-2010 20:03

Well around about 16:00 this afternoon, it was virtually impossible to do anything.

It all seems to be back up and running at full speed now.

I've just been alerted to the fact that If I click on any of my caps I get the message "The requested image file does not exist". The pictures are all still there in my account.
Anyone have any ideas what the problem might be?

Yes. You're including a ] in the name of your images. Therefore when you use the thumbnail code, its thinking that the ] in your image name is in fact the end of the url (i.e. the ] in the thumbnail code that prefixes the [IMG] )

For example, when you click one of your images, this is the url: http://www.imagechunk.com/viewer.php?file=lilly_1.wmv_snapshot_04.10_[2010.05.25_20.17.55 You can see its missing the ].jpg from the end.

The solution is not to use [ or ] in your image names.
