Shoutbox for me - Mainly because you "shout out" (lol) without leaving the page. Smile

Noticed the neither is contending Wink , surely it wouldn't make much difference if the forum had one or another?

I think the neither is there because as Dondoe pointed out in another thread, people may use the chat/shoutbox option and not post comments in threads.

Good point.

But with the chatroom option, you would have to have another tab open and when I am on here I would probably not check the tab with the chatroom open. Whereas if it was the shoutbox, it would be at the top of everypage and you could chat more easier. (IMO)

Personally I voted neither. Not due to what effect it may or may not have on posts (personally I don't think it'll have much effect). Just I won't use the damn thing as I'm normally multitasking whilst on here so wouldn't be able to chat real-time
