RE: Football League: Who's going to get promotion this season? - tim-the-bear - 04-04-2011 21:30 Leicester have slipped back a little perhaps they could do with another season in The Championship RE: Football League: Who's going to get promotion this season? - bigguy01 - 04-04-2011 21:32 qpr and norwich automatic places. cardiff, swansea, leeds, reading or forest. too close to call on playoff winner because anyone can beat anyone, luck of the draw. leeds after what they have been though and the support their fans have shown though their dark days deserve a place in the prem league. Somehow I don't think there will be many neutrals rooting for Leeds to get promoted, with an utter prick like Ken Bates in charge. Big thanks to our old boss Neil Warnock for his QPR team stuffing Sheffield United 3-0 to maintain our 7-point cushion over the bottom three RE: Football League: Who's going to get promotion this season? - Chilly - 04-04-2011 22:58 Loftus Road really is a dump. Yep, QPR will be one of 'em, and I'd like to see Norwich return to the Premier League. ![]() RE: Football League: Who's going to get promotion this season? - Master Yoda - 05-04-2011 01:13 QPR, Norwich & Cardiff RE: Football League: Who's going to get promotion this season? - gazfc - 05-04-2011 05:58 (04-04-2011 21:32 )bigguy01 Wrote: leeds after what they have been though and the support their fans have shown though their dark days deserve a place in the prem league. Haha what even the 20k that have abandoned them From what I've seen, the only team that have really shown that they're worthy of promotion have been Norwich RE: Football League: Who's going to get promotion this season? - Rammyrascal - 25-04-2011 20:30 my team bury has today got promotion from league 2 RE: Football League: Who's going to get promotion this season? - Charlemagne - 30-05-2011 16:27 Swansea were 3-0 up at half time, but Reading have now replied with a 2 goal blasts. And Reading are on the attack full time. This playoff final is the best Championship match of the session. RE: Football League: Who's going to get promotion this season? - Dedrin - 30-05-2011 16:42 Another penalty for the Swansea. Sinclair again. 4-2 I love british football RE: Football League: Who's going to get promotion this season? - eagle_si - 02-08-2011 08:35 With the new season only four days away (even less if you're a Hull or Blackpool fan) it's time for predictions about who's going up, who's going down, and how your team's going to fare this season. I'll start with Palace of course: after the last two seasons, I just hope for a season where we're not going into the last couple of games needing points to stay up. We improved last season after club legend Dougie Freedman took over as boss, and that should continue this season, but it's way too early to think about promotion. Finishing above Millwall and Brighton would be a start ![]() As for who's going up, it will be tight as usual. West Ham will obviously be the favourites after appointing Big Fat Sam as manager (after all, he should be in charge of Real Madrid) but they'll need a good start or the fans will get on their backs. I don't see Blackpool or Birmingham going straight back up as they've lost key players. Leicester seem to be going places with Sven, our old boy Neil Danns turned down a move to Rangers to go there. It's also common to look for teams who finished last season strongly, which means Reading should be there or thereabouts again. Who's going down? It would be so funny if the Tesco boys went straight back down after finally getting their new stadium, but unfortunately I don't think it'll happen. Let's say Peterborough, Barnsley and Doncaster (which means they'll almost certainly be safe) I hope other fans of "the 72" will come on here and share their thoughts. And it'd also be good to have a bit of good-natured banter here as well ![]() |
