Some of the media are running the story that a row over transfer policy led to Sam Allardyce's downfall.

The latest story is Allardyce to be appointed West Ham manager and Maradona for the Blackburn job.

I thought this might happen, I'm angry at what the new owners have done to Big Sam and I'm nervous as to who there going to replace him with. Most fans have never liked Big Sam because of his connections with Bolton and the style of football he plays, as for me i wasn't bothered as long as we won.

I think the reason he got the sack was either his bad run of away results of the transfer list rumor going about. As for who will replace him it's a mystery as i was under the impression that the new owners didn't have that much money at the moment so I'm unsure.

yeah saw teh maradnna rumout on the local news nearly choked on my toast we have a good enough squad to stay up just need to be a bit more positive away from home big sam was so negative was listening to talksport last night and 90 percent of the callers from rovers fans said glad he was gone.

Reading the owners interview in the lancahsire telegragh saying we are hoping for top 5 team and they didnt see sam being able to acheive it. so got rid to give the new person time to buy in the transfer window

didnt like big sam thought more of himself than the team i mean the rants about he should be in charge of real madrid made him a laughing stock

That would be fine if they hadn't just announced that it might be two months before they appoint anybody.

Top 5 is ridiculously over-optimistic for the kind of investment they're planning.

Maradonna is being linked with the Blackburn job.

The club are denying that they have talked.
It is thought that he has refused to take the job after her found out that they were insufficent pie shops in the town.... and that he would not lower himself to manage such an inferior team.

The new Indian owner have said that they will bring in a top name manager so it's believed that they are going to announce

Steve Kean as the new manager of Blackburn Rovers

Who?

Apparately he's been assistant manager to few clubs in England and Spain

He is already cover the job in a caretaker role.

Yeah he now has it until the end of the season :'( Championship it is then Sad I have no confidence in him or the owners at all.

He has been at Fulham, Coventry and Real Sociedad. He turned down a job in the SPL at some point I think.

Also he says he can take us to a top 5 finish that's a joke. Someone please tell me it's April 1st. What he has said so far in front of a camera is a tad out of this world. His wikipedia page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Kean highlights a very low-key playing career and to go with this being his first management job, we will just have to see but it was hardly a postive start picking up one point at home to bottom placed West Ham
