You have a tremendous upload speed, considering your download speed is so poor, Jam Da Man. Your upload speed is the equivalent of someone on a c.10Meg connection, yet you're only getting around a twentieth of that at c.500kb/s. Normally, upload speed is around a tenth of download speed, yet yours is twice as much! You might be able to increase your download speed by asking your ISP to alter the ratio and reduce your upload speed (unless you need a fast upload speed that is).

Hmm... I was wondering about my upload speed being apparantly fast..

I do upload quite a lot of pics everyday, but it would be nice to watch web streams without them stopping every 2 seconds....
I'll try asking 3, although knowing them from previous experience they probably won't know what I'm talking about.
Thanks for that suggestion Skate.

Landlines use ADSL, see below, where the download speeds are much greater than the upload speeds, hence the "Asymmetric" in the description.
Perhaps its different for mobile phone broadband.

From Wikipedia :
Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) is one form of the Digital Subscriber Line technology, a data communications technology that enables faster data transmission over copper telephone lines than a conventional voiceband modem can provide.

^Showoff. Rolleyes

I've emailed 3, asking them to alter my upload/download ratio. So I'll just wait and see what happens.

You'd still be able to upload pics with half or even a third of the upload speed you currently have - many of the people who upload 200MB vids probably only have around 500kbps upload speed.
