not a bad gaming setup. even if a little top heavy on the gfx side.
i would seriously consider overclocking to 3.6-4.2 to get the best from it as 2 570's will overpower your cpu in a lot of games.
you probably already know it , but dont o.c on the stock cooler...

When i seen the forum name i was like WTF is this about, but then i read some posts and i was shocked to find out it was about computers.
My computer is a Dell Inspiron 530 which i have had for about 2 years now and its still running as fast as it was when i got it. Intel Core 2 Quad CPU @ 2.40GHz, BIOS Version is 2.5 and 3gb Ram. Was running on Windows Vista but decided to upgrade to Windows 7. Want to upgarde my HDD currently a 500gb to atleast 2tb.
Dont see much difference in Windows 7 compared to Vista apart from a few more thing u can do with it.

Most of my computers are fairly old and not superfast, but I have a lot of them.
I bought a new laptop last Xmas, mainly to see what Windows 7 was like.
Not keen on it, I prefer XP, but neither of them are as good as linux Mint 10 which I installed on this computer about 6 weeks ago. I have used various versions of Ubuntu linux for several years, but now prefer Mint.
1 laptop - Windows 7 64bit - 2.1GHz dual core AMD cpu, 3GB ram
1 laptop - WinXP ----------- 1.5GHz Celeron cpu, 1.3GB ram
1 laptop - Xubuntu 8.04 ---- 800MHz Celeron cpu, 256MB ram
1 desktop - WinXP ---------- 3.2GHz Celeron cpu, 1GB ram
1 desktop - WinXP ---------- 2.2GHz AMD64 cpu, 2GB ram
1 desktop - WinXP ---------- 1.67GHz Athlon cpu, 768MB ram
1 desktop - Mint 10 --------- 2.9GHz Pentium 4 cpu, 1GB ram
1 desktop - Ubuntu 10.04 --- 1.67GHz Athlon cpu, 512MB ram
1 desktop - Ubuntu 10.10 --- 1.8GHz Duron cpu, 768MB ram
1 netbook - Mint 10 --------- 1.6GHz dual core Atom cpu, 1GB ram
Although they are all working, I use the 2 shown in red most of the time.

I've got an Acer Aspire, 2.60GHz Pentium Dual Core, 3GB RAM, 1TB hard drive built in and 1TB external hard drive and I'm running Windows 7 64bit.
I barely use it for work stuff these days (web designer) but it runs the Adobe Creative Suite really well when I need to and runs Football Manager really quick so there's no complaints from me. My previous couple of computers were self built, but this time I thought fuck it, I'll go the easier route and to be honest, it's still as good as it was when it was bought 18 months ago.

Just upgraded my PC today to 2TB hard drive.
So i now have 1TB Ext hard drive, 2TB and a 500GB Int hard drive.

if you have a desktop its always more efficient to have internal drives, that way your not limited to the usb bandwidth. which can end up being pretty low if you have a usb mouse and keyboard.
as for 2 tb. drives i much prefer running 2x1 tb in raid it gives x2 the speed currently my average read and write is 240mbps off 2 spinpoint f3's in raid 0 config.
a normal wd 5400rpm 2tb drive will give 50 mbps up to maybe 65 mbps... and then you loose 10 percent per partition. i know it doesn't sound much but if you have the maximum of 4 partitions on a 2tb your looking at halving the effective read times and adding 1/3 to the seek...
so if you dont mind il offer this advice... use your 500 as your o.s. disk and just create a folder table on the 2tb
and get a defragger that allows you to defrag fragmented files only. like disktrix ultimate defrag...
if you use torrents make sure you pre allocate the files as this will minimize fragmentation while downloading. hopefully these few tips will keep your drive running as fast as it can.
