RE: Rugby world cup 2011 - rickhardo - 24-09-2011 08:59 How nice to see England using the full width of the pitch - both wings scoring hat-tricks says it all. Let's not get carried away, Romania were really poor, there are still too many silly penalties and we got a bit loose at times but at least there was some ambition to actually use all 15 players. The question now is will they have the courage to play a similar style against the better sides. RE: Rugby world cup 2011 - lovebabes56 - 24-09-2011 09:05 I expected Romania to be difficult, but we simply overran them at times. I still think we have some work to do, and we need to retain the disicipline because once the Q/F start, we have maintain focus and not give the opposition the opportunity to hit back. RE: Rugby world cup 2011 - Rammyrascal - 24-09-2011 10:06 good performance from england last night, loved ben foden's try celebration "rocking the baby" after the recent announcement he and his girlfriend, the saturdays singer una healy announced they were expecting a baby a few days ago RE: Rugby world cup 2011 - rickhardo - 24-09-2011 12:01 (24-09-2011 10:06 )Rammyrascal Wrote: loved ben foden's try celebration "rocking the baby" after the recent announcement he and his girlfriend, the saturdays singer una healy announced they were expecting a baby a few days ago Ben's originality knows no bounds. RE: Rugby world cup 2011 - Rammyrascal - 25-09-2011 10:00 nice article by ben foden http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/rugbyunion/international/england/8786878/Ben-Foden-my-first-World-Cup-try-for-England-was-a-really-special-moment.html RE: Rugby world cup 2011 - lovebabes56 - 25-09-2011 10:25 Can't help thinking that Scotland deserved more from their game. Must be one the games of this World Cup. I think we can expect a typical Eng V Sco match next weekend. I'm so pleased for the Irish they look like one of the dark horses of this competition. But I think Italy will be relishing an opportunity to upsetr the apple cart. RE: Rugby world cup 2011 - rickhardo - 25-09-2011 10:32 Scotland did what they've been doing for years - good build up play then a mistake when they least want it. Having said that Contepomi was yards offside when Parks went for his drop goal, should've been a penalty in front of the sticks. RE: Rugby world cup 2011 - lovebabes56 - 25-09-2011 12:25 you were right he was yards offside, I'm suprprised no touch judge noticed -or even the referee. Yet it was a game where one moment of individual brilliance would win it. I'm not sure of the margin of points Scotland would need against England but I would think it would be about 30 pts or more. If England get a bonus point they'll be through by my reckoning as Argentina couldn't finish above them. RE: Rugby world cup 2011 - lovebabes56 - 26-09-2011 19:02 After Wales' demolition job on namibia this morning, i wouln't be surprised if three of the four quater final places are fillled by three of of the four home nations. |
