RE: Favourite Christmas Songs - Scottishbloke - 25-11-2011 22:12 As far as Band Aid's Do They Know It's Christmas record goes, to be honest it's not my favourite number but I actually thought that the Band Aid 2 take on it at least gave the song a much needed lift ![]() RE: Favourite Christmas Songs - cwpussylover - 25-11-2011 23:45 pogues and kirsty ![]() ![]() (25-11-2011 20:30 )HoneyRocks Wrote: I agree, I luv Stacey Soloman's version of the song and would buy it too. Its Roy Wood and his band at the end of their support set playing "I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ITMFu_nu50k The sound is pretty good but the camera work no so good so you will have to watch this in full screen i'm afraid - enjoy!!! Although you don't see it as the video is cut too early, Brummie Roy actually had a well deserved big standing ovation from the audience after playing his Christmas hit!!! One of our often underated big music heroes of the West Midlands region......... PS The drummer Roy Adams and bassist Neil Simpson from Roy's band are also from the current line up of Stafford rock/blues band the "Climax Blues Band" who had their big transatlantic hits Couldn't Get It Right and I Love You in 1976/80.
