Fawlty Towers is number one for me but mentioned in dispatches are Blackadder, Spaced and The Day Today.

How could I forget Not Going Out. I don't think I've seen a comedy show in recent years that packs so many gags into half an hour. Brilliant show.

Seems to be a common choice but Only Fools has to be the greatest! I can still watch the re-runs and find them funny, even after already seeing them an abundance of times.
