No footballers, no cricketers, no rugby stars, no jockeys, no golfers and no racing drivers (unless something dramatic happens).

And least this year we have had some nobable performances from the ladies.. And if the BBC want to lick ass they may consider including Zara Phillips on their list.

The best team award will be just as hard to predict. Do they go with one of the cycling teams, rowing, tennis or yachting.

And what about the overseas sports personality?
Do they pick Bolt, Phelps or my option of David Rudisha who won the Olympic 800m in a new world record.

Best team award is easy... Team GB

Actually it's the thorny old issue of 'personality'

On achievements this year the list is huge

However if it's personality then really Wiggo is your man

A clearly driven sportsman at the top of his game BUT also has a personality which was shown by his reaction and actions when he won his gold.

But as I said in this extraordinary sporting year for all things GB sport it's for once an incredibly tough call

So no Rory McIlroy then, despite him being ranked number one golfer in the world? Andy Murray can't compete with that achievement, being ranked third in world tennis.

But he's rubbish at tennis Big Grin

I actually agree. Rory should be shortlisted for no other reason than to get his grlfriend on the show. Smile

Would rule out Wiggins due to his Tour De France victory being because of his Sky team and particularly Chris Froome who would have won event had he not had to work for Wiggins
