The trouble is that even when watching it on the telly I can't actually see the puck.
Its travelling at such a rate and is so small its a bit off putting.
Ice hockey is a sport I would love to get into enjoying but as yet no joy

stick with it snookered. yes it does take a little while to get used to following the puck but once you do its worth it as its a great sport to get into and follow.
think what helped me get into it was having an ice hockey team to watch live close to where i live. when i started getting into ice hockey in october 1996, Manchester Storm played at Manchester Evening News Arena (now called manchester arena) and watching games live got me used to following the puck and then the game as a whole and all its little nuances
so i reccomend you pick a team either a british one if there is a team near you, or a team in the NHL (national hockey league) and get watching them and youll be hooked on ice hockey in no time

Try the radio? Every game is played live.

Of course you only need the toronto maple leafs not the other unimportant ones.

The team I will probably follow is based on a visit to the last Winter Olympics.
I have family from the city concerned and found the people there to be very friendly so I have a soft spot for the place. So if I can get used to the puck flying around at speed and track its path around the ice my support will be for the Vancouver Canucks

yep wouldn't be the same
but I have been to quite a few games now where there hasn't been a fight though, worked out ive been to around 500 ice hockey games so far
