He's admitted it and apologised, so it's more than "supposed".

New Zealand reached 51/2 in 15 overs before rain intervened with no further resumption.
Match abandoned: 1 point to each side. With 5 more overs Duckworth Lewis could have been used to determine a winner. England can now progress to the semi finals with a win over Sri Lanka tomorrow.

Only one problem stands in their way,how to cope with Malinga.

Yesterday's no-result is the only drawback of a Tournement with only 3 matches in the group games. Not good seeing a side go out due to the weather, even Australia.

England finish on 293-7 including a devastating last over from which England got 28 runs!!!!!!!!!! ravi bopara got 33 from just 13 balls Smile

RE: ICC Champions Trophy - Boomerangutangangbang - 14-06-2013 11:23

Sri Lanka beat England by 7 wickets with 17 balls to spare.A quality 134 not out from Sangakkara backed up by a quickfire58 not out from Kulasekara made Englands bowlers toil on a flat pitch.

Disappointing from England's bowlers imo.
Too many cheap runs given away early on. Never built any pressure on the batsmen.

The rain affected match between Est Indies & South Africa ended in a tie on the Duckworth/Lewis method.South Africa go through to the Semi Finals with a superior run rate .

Shame that it looked like a good game. You never know what you gonna get with the West Indies but they certainly good value shame they out. I got this sneaky suspicion that England could win this!
