I've played it for a few hours now and it is good as a 'pick up and play' arcade racer but really need the online aspects to be available to see if it adds much life to the game. Because at the minute the game play is pretty shallow

Deleted this sorry mess from my library and going to trade it tomorrow. 6th day and still their server problems persist. Not been able to connect once. The single player is shallow and doesn't have any feeling of achievement. Basically its just another arcade racer, with the worst features being the far too narrow roads, unrealistic acceleration and crash barriers that you can't help but crash into. There is not even a replay function though I believe they are thinking of adding this in a future update. Considering this game was 2 years plus in the making its very shoddy and not much fun really. Bring on Project Cars and the hope that this proves to be a quality serious racer.

Feel the same way, thinking of chopping it in for Battlefield 4 or Madden 15 (as Drive Club is my only PS4 title at the minute lol) and then picking The Crew and Project Cars on release

Finally got access to the online late last night following a further patch. The fact is this really should not happen with a game by the time it is released for sale. The fact apologists accept it and excuse such poor standards means that the shadier developers in the games industry are not likely to pull their socks up any time soon.
Gave it a blast online last night and again this morning but it still seemed souless and uninspiring. Therefore packed it up and took it to my local games store. They very kindly gave me a full refund (wasn't expecting that) and instead bought Forza Horizons 2 on the xbone. What a difference. A refreshing and dynamic game that is just a total blast with so many options to choose from. Over two hundred cars that you can win or buy once you have earned enough credits. The graphics are not quite as good as Driveclub but they are still excellent and lets face it if you buy a game just because it looks pretty then perhaps change pastime Smile

PS: I'd have a close look at The Crew before spending money on it. I fear more of the same with that game, having heard one or two negative comments. Hoping they are unfounded and its a good game. Project Cars looks very tasty though and is a sorely needed title on the PS4 as Gran Tourismo 7 has just been confirmed but will not be released until 2016 at the earliest.

Picked up the game for 9 quid with credit i had saved up not a bad game am only early on in the game and enjoying all though i haven't tried out the online mode yet. I really do like the controls it does feel like you are controling a real car and graphics are really good too. I am a little disappointed with the background graphics which don't seem to be very next gen and look very bland even tho you don't get time on look as your trying to drive, you can see why Forza is the better game with a little more care and time the game could have been a lot better.
I do really like the weather effects they do look real.

Driveclub is slowly getting better but even tho i dont have a Xbox One or played the latest Forza but i had a choice over a Forza game or Driveclub i would pick Forza by a mile.

Sony have finally released the free stripped down version of the game if your a PSN+ member a bit late but I guess better late then never lol.

RE: Driveclub - bytor - 28-06-2015 12:23

I had both. Forza beats Driveclub by a country mile. Project cars is the best atm but again is beset by bugs since they did an update patch. Driveclub has failed miserably on its original premise but I guess thats the norm these days with most games being released more as betas than the finished product.

RE: Driveclub - BaddaBing - 28-06-2015 13:21

I never traded Drive Club in as I couldn't get a decent price anywhere for it (not asking for the Earth but not having my pants pulled down either) so now it just sits on the shelf. I've got Project Cars too which I was really enjoying and personally think is better than DC. I almost purchased an XBone after seeing the Fast and Furious DLC/expansion for Forza being played on Twitch
