As for her being blonde i wouldn't like say as they'll change anything Lois has alwys had black hair except in Smallville where it was dark brown which was fine but then in Man of Steel she had strawberry blonde hair lol.

as far as her having blonde hair, i know thats the typical portrayal of her but when these shows go to tv lately, the trend has been to change a few things, so maybe they'll let the actress keep her natural clolour. but not being a comic book enthusiast, i'm not sure how controversial this would be.

Actress Laura Benanti has been cast as Supergirl's mother Alura Zor-El and will appear in a recurring role.

Calista Flockhart (Ally McBeal) has been cast as a series regular in the upcoming Supergirl TV show she will be playing Cat Grant.

Looks like Superman be making a appeance after all as the producers of the show are looking for someone that can be a body double for Superman.

To be honest it would be a little difficult doing a "Super" series without some mention of the Man of Steel.
Although could easily over shadow SGirl

Dean Cain & Helen Slater to appear in the pilot of Supergirl, so joining them is actor David Harewood will be playing Hank Henshaw, Henshaw in the comics would later become Cyborg Superman and Actress Chyler Leigh to play Alex Danvers, Kara's foster sister in the show.
Filming on the pilot starts on the 4th of March and Andrew Kreisberg has joined the CBS Supergirl project as an Executive Producer and writer and also works on The Flash and Arrow plus Glen Winter will be directing the pilot his also directed several Smallville eps.

I thought Helen Slater played Supergirl well in the film and also playing Lara in Smallville so it will be good to see her again in the "Super" story

I thought she was underrated in Supergirl, she looked the part but the storyline of the film was shit. The original storyline of Supergirl the movie was supposed to have Supergirl and Superman teaming up against brainaic but Chris Reeves said no so they had two weeks to come with a new story.
