I got the upgrade yesterday but it won't download. It just gets so far and then it reports an error. Will stick to Win 8.1 What a fucking anti-climax after all the hype. Microsoft doing what they do best.

what was the error mate?
sorry we cant change the size of the system reserved partition?
if so then follow this easy fix.
right click on my computer/ select manage / select disk management

right click on the reserved partition. right click and add a drive letter to it. best select z:
now copy and paste the following into a notepad txt file.

Code:
SET DIRECTORY_NAME="z:*.*"
TAKEOWN /f %DIRECTORY_NAME% /r /d y
ICACLS %DIRECTORY_NAME% /grant administrators:F /t
PAUSE
rename it takeownership.bat.
run it and with elevated privs(run as admin).
it should process all the files in the z:

1s done close the cmd prompt

now open z:
and delete everything apart from en/us

reboot and run the win 10 installer again. this time it should start the install.
just be aware that it can take up to 5 hours. if you prefer to keep all your apps and settings.

I started the download just before I left for work at 7am and finished the process from my phones remote desktop app, seems like it installed no problem.

Just hope there are no compatibility problems with the software I use for video editing.

your lucky mate. it took 4 attempts to get it to install for me. and when it finally did start at 2am this morning it was nearly 7:30 am when the desktop finally appeared.
good news is everything ive tried has worked so far.
from my vpn to vlc to avs video editor. all seem to work the same as they did on win 7.

i would suggest to every 1 that you turn off the send to microsoft stuff as well as the machine identifiers.

go to privacy tab in settings to do so.

It was up and running within 90 minutes, probably would have been ready before that if I had been at home rather than doing it by phone. It seems faster than windows 7, I couldn't delete an 8 gig flv file last night, all I was getting was "preparing to recycle", windows 10 deleted it instantly Smile

It's an old Dell Bluetooth keyboard (y-raq-del2) connected with the corresponding Dell Bluetooth dongle, it worked fine before the update.

Doesn't seem to be an option to find a new driver for it Sad

give the solutions found here a try.
i know there for earlier versions of windows but they may still work.

also try installing
uninstalling the blutooth radio/driver from device manager.
uninstall setpoint software if your using a version that was present before your upgrade (if you just upgraded and kept your old files and didnt clean install)

reboot.
install the latest version of setpoint from the logitech site (they make the keyboard for dell so it should work with it) then plug in the bluetooth receiver, it should start the bluetooth wizard and hopefully allow you to install the keyboard.
