Maybe daddy should tell him the idea is to take wickets and bowl sides out twice, if he tries that bullying shit with the aussies he is likely to get hammered round the park.

I agree Lance
The fact is himself along with Anderson, prior and Swan were seen as the senior players, lynch pins the daddy's of the joint as it were. Therefore pretty much ruled the roost. With a new coach who does not give a toss about status within the team
He might realise that if he does not follow instructions he is out. No doubting his match winning credentials when he is on song though.

Broad's figures are boosted by tail end wickets as Cook always brings him or Anderson on to bowl to the shit tail. The way Broad struts around and bowls pathetically short with this 'enforcer' tag bullshit you would think he bowled at 95mph. Truth is apart from the odd spell where he gets to 89 ish most of his bowling is low 80's and unthreatening.

An interesting statistic, when it comes to taking the oppositions first 5 wickets England bowl them out cheaper than any other side in world cricket, however when it comes to taking the last five England are the second most expensive with only Zimbabwe conceding more runs.

That's the thing with Broad. He is not often good but when he is he is electrifying.
I remember in the 2009 ashes when Australia were on cruise control @150-2
He came on half an hour later they were 160-6 And he got all the wickets. In the first match in the last series he got 5 wickets in the first innings of the first match. After that it all went tits up for him. But to be fair who did enhance their reputation in the last ashes series?

My theory is that we have not had a quality spinner. Tailenders find it a lot easier staying in to fast bowlers than they do spinners, especially leg spinners. Malcolm Marshall is prove of that. He was the best quick bowler in the business but even he had a hard time getting tail Enders out.

Its more like that England have a game plan for the top five or six but once the lower order gets in and they start throwing the bat the bowlers discipline goes and there is no plan b.

I watched a 'Breathe Sport' vid on Youtube last night with KP, Michael Vaughan, Darren Gough, and Marcus North for Australia and Gough described Anderson as one of the best New ball bowlers he'd seen. I'd certainly would agree but I'd certainly would think a couple of Australia bowlers would run him close and both North and KP both said that Hazelwood is seriously quick, quicker than Mitchell Johnson who I think could relish the English conditions given his pace.

Several players have an important series ahead of them this summer
!) Broad for me has a very important series ahead of him with both bat and ball
2) Bell we know he can score runs and score centuries, but I'd really like to see stop getting himself out cheaply as too often he gets caught in a trap
3) Cook again I'd love to see him get runs as well show he has enough tactically to justify his captaincy, but if he lost the captaincy I don't there is anyone in the current team who could take over.

any way guys hope to see more teams posted soon....don't forget

That's why I worry about picking Finn, he can bowl straight and give batsman a few to think about but if the batman gets on top of him, and he loses his rag a little and that's where Australia could get more runs off him. It's like you say we have a plan for the top 5/6 but once we reach the tail enders we don't apply the same game plan to the tail enders albeit a few subtle changes to it

Is Ali more expensive than Rashid?
