^ there's going to be plenty it opportunity to discuss Britains membership of The EU over the next few months. Maybe the topic of this thread should be what we stick to here?

Greece to sue Goldman-Sachs for getting them in to the euro in the first place ?

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/greek-debt-crisis-goldman-sachs-could-be-sued-for-helping-country-hide-debts-when-it-joined-euro-10381926.html

RE: Greece - Tumble_Drier - 11-07-2015 00:31

Everyone knew they didn't meet the entry criteria, so they employed Goldman's to fiddle the books to get them in. Goldman's cooked the books, got them in and now the Greeks are blaming them for it?

Priceless!

Greece spent millions of euros they could hardly afford so they could hold a referendum in which they rejected the terms of the last bail out, only for their leaders to blackmailed into accepting an even worse deal condemning them to years of untold misery and austerity. Greece once the home of democracy is now effectively under the control of Merkel and the new eu nazi party.

What could not be done with tanks has been achieved with money.

RE: Greece - HannahsPet - 13-07-2015 19:10

Fucking Cheek apparently the EU want us to contribute to the bailout dont have a say on the deal cos it was on Eurozone members

RE: Greece - cwpussylover - 13-07-2015 19:27

RE: Greece - lancealot790 - 13-07-2015 19:28

And of course our gutless leaders will agree to it.

RE: Greece - HannahsPet - 13-07-2015 20:03

think osbourne putting his foot down

We gave over 22billion pounds in 2011 as both members of the EU and the IMF. not sure we saw any of that money back including 7 billion to Ireland Wink

RE: Greece - lancealot790 - 13-07-2015 20:14

Would this be the same george osbourne who refused to give the eu an extra 1.7 billion when they reassessed our economic growth and then allowed them to deduct it from next years rebate?

The Greek stock market re-opened this morning after being suspended for five weeks, and immediately dropped by 23%.
There are rules in place to prevent Greek investors selling too much but foreign investors are free to do what they like.
