Ireland making it out of their group.
I would not be surprised that if all four nations qualified they were forced to withdraw as our political relationship with Russia and Putin worsens....I for see a political minefield ahead with the Government pressurising sports bodies not to compete in any sporting events in Russia
Scotland finishing higher than us in our group? I would be very surprised if that happened. If you believe that I suggest you place a bet at the bookies.I imagine you would get pretty good odds. We are one of the best teams around in the qualifying stages. It's just at the main tournament we play like a pub team that have never met each other before. As Platini said 'lions in the winter lambs in the summer'

What are the odds of FIFA doing anything motivated out of common sense and human decency?

As I've already explained once, the final decision will be made by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, not by FIFA.

As someone who has financed many bookmaker operations over the years, the bookies tend to know what they are talking about.

Sorry Terence in regard to what?
FIFA being motivated out of common sense and human decency or Scotland finishing higher than England in their group(It will never happen) or Gilbralta being allowed to compete in the world cup qualifiers?
