It's his 3rd in tests and he's now gone on to 250 not out. His previous highest score is 294, so he must have that in his sights now.

England declare on 598/9. If it was me I'd have waited for 2 more runs and got the 600 and then declared, or more likely declared on 590 when the 9th wicket fell rather than bother batting Anderson. England's first innings lead is 75 and Pakistan have an hour to bat before lunch.
