Afganistan posted 153 in their match again Sri Lanka after a fine knock of 62 from their captain Asghar

A gutsy performance by Afghanistan, but Sri Lanka win by 6 wickets with 7 balls to spare. If it hadn't been for a few misfields by Afghanistan the match could have been closer still

England unchanged against South Africa and won the toss and bowled, but South Africa have amassed an impressive 229/4.

England had a bit of a shocker with the ball, but let's put that behind us now and see if we can we still make a game of it. Batting is our strength after all, and it's a good surface too. Let's be optimistic and hope that South Africa's bowling is no better than England's.

Great match, excellent batting from both sides.

RE: World Twenty20 2016 - Snooks - 18-03-2016 22:23

On the flip side the bowling and the fielding especially was laughable. Dropped catches and ground fielding errors gifted a whole load of runs to both teams.

^ Purely down to pressure. Our white ball cricketers don't play in these high pressure games regularly enough. Only 20/20 finals day really compares domestically and only Morgan has IPL experience. The South Africans are just so tarnished by their previous falterings they could lose from anywhere in a major tournament. Cracking game though, what a player Joe Root is
