Saracens suffered their first Premiership defeat of the season tonight losing 29-20 at London Irish.

The champions cup continued today! (still not convinced about the inclusion of SA teams) What a match Munster V Northampton.
Playing with 14 men for the majority of the game, Munster gave a storming performance - particularly second half - when Northampton actually realised that they were there to play rugby, to hold out in the end.
I have obviously seen a lot of Munster down the years, but I have never seen such a transformation in their playing style as they have adopted and honed under Graham Rowntree (have England missed out here??) Brilliant to watch, and skill levels away from the close contact forward domination they are known for best, completely off the charts. Fabulous match!!

A notable success for Northampton Saints in the European Champions Cup semi final.
They beat Leinster in Dublin 37-34.
Leinster were heavy favourites going on and had pretty much most of the Ireland national team playing for them. A seismic triumph for Northampton.

What do we think of the idea of a Rugby Club World Cup? is there even enough room in the Calendar for such a competition and would it be successful? i would feel it probably would be too much rugby at club for some countries plus all the logistics of staging comes with all the problem that when it takes place is some places it would interfere with many domestic schedules.

Owen Farrell is close to making a sensational return to Saracens. The move to Racing 92 hasn't exactly been a good move I hear.
Best wishes to both Bath and Leicester in today's Premiership Final and hope it it is a Final worthy of the occasion. Very much hope for a Bath win as it will be their first trophy since 1996 and at that time Bath were one of the most dominant clubs in British club rugby and will be nice to see their name on the roll of honour after such a long time.
