RE: Netflix Recommendations - southsidestu - 22-04-2018 20:10 If like you me loved House of Cards but can't watch it anymore because Kevin Spacey is an abuser of people including the underage, I would suggest Designated Survivor starring Keifer Sutherland. I'm not going to BS it doesn't compare to the first two seasons of HOC and season 2 right now is mixed but the first season has a clearer narrative and it is a good and entertaining political thriller with a 7.8/10 rating on IMBD that won TV Guide and Critics Choice awards for most exciting new TV series. Also Sutherland's right hand woman Emily Rhodes is fine as fuck and Maggie Q plays a kick ass FBI agent which is always a turn on for me RE: Netflix Recommendations - sweetsugar007 - 23-04-2018 12:39 Not a patch on HoC but it is watchable because of Maggie Q RE: Netflix Recommendations - southsidestu - 25-04-2018 12:48 I thought the first season was a lot better, it is nowhere near as cutthroat or brutal as HOC and the performances from Spacey and Wright are stellar but I binge watched the first season and I was hooked. Every time the cold open dropped a bombshell and it went to the credits with that dramatic music and when Kirkman adjusted his jacket "I was like YASSSS !!! Come on Keifer let's do this". The second season I feel just isn't as focused, Hannah Wells story is kind of all over the place, the hacking and who is behind it seems to pop up everywhere it's kind of confusing and Moss pops in an out of it as well and I think because I am watching it week by week I don't get the same sense of momentum as I did with the first season, which I felt the over arching storyline was much more focused Maggie Q is great but Italia Ricci does it for me which is could because when we get a shot at them there will be no fighting RE: Netflix Recommendations - lancealot790 - 01-05-2018 19:46 As i have finally got round to joining the 21st century and subscribing to Netflix are there any suggestions as to which series i should watch first? RE: Netflix Recommendations - southsidestu - 01-05-2018 20:03 Depends on your genre Superhero - Daredevil, Jessica Jones & Luke Cage Sci Fi - Star Trek Discovery, Stranger Things, Black Mirror Drama - Narcos, Designated Survivor, Mindhunter Documentaries - 13th, Cartel Land I'd start with Narcos RE: Netflix Recommendations - rpj316 - 01-05-2018 20:03 ^^ I'd go for Stranger Things mate ![]() RE: Netflix Recommendations - lancealot790 - 01-05-2018 20:30 Thanks for the suggestions guys, i love the X-files so think i will give Stranger Things a go. RE: Netflix Recommendations - *Kal-El* - 01-05-2018 21:35 Lost In Space is well worth watching a little rough in places but worth the investment also Black Lightning highly recommended. RE: Netflix Recommendations - lancealot790 - 02-05-2018 12:14 Watched the first four episodes of Stranger Things, its very good so far and quite addictive. RE: Netflix Recommendations - lancealot790 - 03-05-2018 23:09 Finished series one of Stranger things, i will save series two for later and start on Altered Carbon. |
