RE: Elite TV/Studio 66 - General Chat & Discussion - lovebabes56 - 01-10-2016 12:28 certainly can't see it being stocked on the WH Smiths shelves for one and certainly wouldn't see it the supermarkets either. Bet the only it's likely to end up in is the small adult stores that may linger on in Soho London and I bet in the only way you'd get your mitts on it if went subscription only through the post for an extortionate amount of money RE: Elite TV/Studio 66 - General Chat & Discussion - Danzig - 01-10-2016 13:04 The 18-30 year olds they are aiming for don't buy mags. Which is why the lads mags and Playboy and Penthouse finished. The internet has already seen to that...The owners will need their deep pockets to stem the losses on this thing. RE: Elite TV/Studio 66 - General Chat & Discussion - ryuken - 01-10-2016 15:41 That's a great point by hairbald about S66's inability to get any major retailers to stock their mag, which I agree will inevitably bring about it's demise after 3 issues. They'll probably hold an Issue 1 release party in a West End/Essex nightclub, but they have done a poor job of informing S66 TV viewers what will be in the mag, and how much it'll cost. Danzig also raises a great point about Sixty 6's target market, which is most likely 18-30 males, because they're not going to buy a magazine, when they can get similar content online for free. I bet they never gave thought of sourcing an outlet first to stock it, before moving ahead with producing the thing. If any shop did stock it probably MIGHT end up on the shelves of railway station/motorway outlets RE: Elite TV/Studio 66 - General Chat & Discussion - lovebabes56 - 02-10-2016 17:41 (01-10-2016 15:41 )ryuken Wrote: That's a great point by hairbald about S66's inability to get any major retailers to stock their mag, which I agree will inevitably bring about it's demise after 3 issues. I bet the price of their mag would be more than double of what it costs us to phone their babes!!A part of me actually thinks it would have been better to have done it as an online magazine if they wanted to print something a Studio66 calendar would have been a far better idea RE: Elite TV/Studio 66 - General Chat & Discussion - lovebabes56 - 02-10-2016 17:49 (01-10-2016 11:05 )hairbald Wrote: This is just another vanity project by S66 owners much like the US venture. The market for lads mags is dead; see any form of media analysis you like that says not only is print dying but lads mags are dead too. I'll wager it makes it to five issues before folding RE: Elite TV/Studio 66 - General Chat & Discussion - HannahsPet - 03-10-2016 08:30 Seeing who owns part of S66 sure not doing it for it to make a success just how much tax they can right off from it ![]() RE: Elite TV/Studio 66 - General Chat & Discussion - HannahsPet - 03-10-2016 08:36 (02-10-2016 17:49 )babelover48 Wrote:(01-10-2016 11:05 )hairbald Wrote: This is just another vanity project by S66 owners much like the US venture. Its already least a month late bet it wont even make the stores No newsagents really wants to sell lads mags and no guy wants to buy them because of the Feminist backlash in the last 5 years and the campaigns on social media they have made buying a lads mag akin to buying porn mags Sixty6 Magazine - lovebabes56 - 06-10-2016 05:46 Anyone actually found who is stocking their magazine yet? Nice shots in Mikaela's thread though but whether that is the actual cover I don't know |
