RE: RIP Bruce Forsyth - greenray - 19-08-2017 19:53 Sir Bruce Forsyth: 8 little-known facts about his career http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-40985302 RE: RIP Bruce Forsyth - Doddle - 19-08-2017 20:36 Quote:Some were novelty songs related to his TV career - like 1959's I'm In Charge, named after his Sunday Night at the London Palladium catchphrase. They're right on that, at least, probably the only part of his career that hasn't been looked over repeatedly already. Plus, good starts for the "Obscure songs from the 50s/60s/70s etc" threads EDIT - Here's I'm Backing Britain: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-zi_-F2pN8 If you've always wanted a song that name-checks Inverness and Surbiton, it's your lucky day. RE: RIP Bruce Forsyth - lovebabes56 - 20-08-2017 05:12 Watched the Bruce Forsyth story on Channel 5 last night pretty much summed him up for me the only link left alive for Saturday TV viewing from his era would be Parky. Did he ever win a lifetime BAFTA Award? If not then they (BAFTA) should pretty much posthumously award him one immediately.
