What a disaster. NZ 88-1 at dinner. Kane Williamson 59 not out has already scored more than the entire England team on his own! Total debacle.

They were aiming for the record low score at 23-8 but only managed to save themselves.
Wowful batting, which brings how much help is the batting coaching giving them.
Also Joe Root's batting has gone backward since he took charge of the team

Come on rain! Our only chance of getting out of this with a draw.

RE: New Zealand v England 2018 - Charlemagne - 24-03-2018 08:20

On day3 there were only 17 balls bowled and 4 runs scored.
Play abandonned for the day due to rain

New Zealand have just beaten England in the first day-night test match by an innings and 49 runs

RE: New Zealand v England 2018 - Hawaiian Brian - 27-03-2018 10:25

Thrashed despite losing a day and a half to rain. Batsmen Nos. 2 thru 8 all got in, got past 20, but no-one got past 66.

Never thought I would see the day when Stokes would face 5 successive maidens from a medium-pacer bowling at about 70-75 mph. (de Grandhomme)

But he did!

Jack Leach and James Vince replace Moeen Ali and Chris Woakes in England's 12-man squad for the second Test against New Zealand.

England don't know what their best team is, unfortunately, but leaving Ali out makes sense and is really overdue as he's had such a bad tour with both bat and ball. Leaving Woakes out is a much more contentious decision. After all he scored a half century from no 8 last time out, but he has been struggling to take wickets in test matches and went wicketless in Auckland.

It's the 2nd test from Christchurch tonight

New Zealand won the toss and opted to bowl

England have battled to 70/2 at lunch.
Cook out for 2, Vince out for 18.
