Fair play to Alex Noren.
With all the celebrations happening around the course he stayed focussed and closed out a final match victory to seal a 17.5-10.5 overall victory.

What a year for Molinari I think Open champion and will also be remembered in 2018 as the man who regained the Ryder Cup for Europe!! Not only he took all 5 point too I think - not many have done that.

Garcia also surpassed Sir Nick Faldo's points record to become Europe's leading points scorer
I feel Tiger's never really grasped the Cup format in his appearances but with his record of 21 losses & Mickelson's (22 losses). whoever is the next US captain will probably still pick either as wildcard picks if they didn't qualify automatically. At least Molinari got the job done!!
Bjorn got te balance right I think in the end but the rookies performed so well and I do hope some will have tournament success in future and I'm some are probably already looking forward to going to the Us in two years' time. And I think Le Golf National is probably on a par one of the best courses in Europe.

Where next in the US?
