not really because there is no title involved and it was a better setup for the Moxley vs Omega at the next one

Jericho's point was an old guy going over the young guys and thats what he just did.... but to be honest i hope he win the title because hangman page doesnt look main event he has love handles

Its hard to say at this point it will be interesting to see what the buy rate for this ppv is and how many viewers the buy in show got on itv4 but they have unlimited money behind them, when they start doing tv taping every week they need to hope they can fill the buildings up or at least half so it looks good on tv.. i can see them getting pretty big really they just need to push the right guys to the top

Just watched the whole thing and have to say was ok better than the Main Roster PPV of WWE the NXT takeover shows have been better for matches but thats because they have had all that time to build it up

for a First PPV was Very good

I loved the cody vs dustin match

A J Styles made the point that any new company should concentrate on building their own brand rather than look to challenge WWE

That because aew is not the house he built

Do we know the ppv figures yet, and how they compare to WWE'S?

98k ppv buys which is better than most of wwe shows now due to the network

Funny how the game has changed and people are going off WWE and watching other companies which is a good thing in a way WWE needs competition like all sports like Darts (PDC and BDO),MMA (Bellator and UFC),Boxing (Promoter Vs Promoter) you get my point no sport can move forward if it doesn't have a rival.

That point is a valid one. I think both Bellator & UFC do great shows but I don't think I've seen a youtube interview where Dana White has rubbished Bellator publicly which seems to me that he accepts the competition of Bellator and probably feels it is just better for UFC to concentrate on their own production and not worry what the other is doing. To see that AEWV did way better on PPV than WWE certainly does suggest that AEW is going to be around for quite a while but let's hope their next PPV is a good follow up to 'Double or Nothing' and is one that is spectacular without going to over the top and certainly does give WWE something to think about where their end product is going whether Vince is at the helm or not.
