How different that hand of god thing would have been if thst bloody rule was at the World Cup at that bloody time!! Tongue did hear someone on 606 last night saying if VAR had ben introduced in the world cup from 1998 how different that semi with the Argies would have been.

I think the crowd in the stadium should be able to see what they are checking. If VAR is going to be accepted you have to involve the crowd in the stadium

This is the procedure in the Premier League (except at Liverpool and Man Utd who don't have the big screens):

When a VAR check is carried out a message is shown on the big screen to inform the spectators of the check. If the VAR check results in a changed decision a video replay is then shown on the screen to demonstrate why the decision was changed.

Man City v Spurs fans knew they were checking something but didn't know what on Saturday in regard to the winning goal.
They say the referee has the final say but I haven't seen them come over to look at incident for themselves

And that's the responsibility of the EU, according to Ian Holloway on Sky Sports last night, who thinks that if we get Brexit it will sort the handball problem out. Apparently we need Brexit because "you cannot have someone telling us how to do our own game".

The Premier League have a new rule stating that any player that enters the VAR Room will be sent off - The nearest Premier League ground to the VAR room is 13 mile away Big Laugh

Yes he's definitely right. Here is the man himself, acting as a representative of the Leave campaign and trying to renegotiate the handball rule with Donald Tusk.
