Speaking personally, and generally... because there's something to be said for shared communal excitement as a certain kind of erotic experience. Being part of the building anticipation, then bringing about and participating in something that everyone that takes part in can get off to. It's heightened by, and made more of a spectacle because of, the hungry crowd. The is something particularly unique and visceral in such an event done right.
