Hope her bf sues not only the CPS, but also the national press and makes them pay
I now think the CPS now have some very serious questions to answer over this, especially by not even listening when her bf specifically requested that charges be dropped against her but did not listen. They may very well have blood on their hands but I hope now that
those who made that original decision are not sleeping easy in their beds tonight knowing full well that their actions may have caused a very tragic outcome to what was perhaps a media report tht was blown well out of proportion and the press themselves also have questions to answer in this.

Apparently she took her own life hours after being informed by her lawyer that the CPS were going ahead with the trial

Maybe her boyfriend was the victim of domestic abuse and like alot of victims made excuses for her.
Just because she committed suicide, it doesn't necceccarily mean she was innocent.
Love Island had nothing to do with it either.

What would the CPS have gained out of a trial that I think probably would have collapsed if her bf refused to testify against her?

RE: Caroline Flack - HannahsPet - 16-02-2020 02:23

they had body cam footage and apparently she also attacked a copper thats why the took the step of keeping the boyfriend away from her there was no way the CPS wouldnt have prosecuted her can you imagine the uproar if they had

Fully agree Liverred. To say the cps have blood on their hands is ridiculous as they were just doing their job. Looked at the evidence & decided Caroline had a case to answer.

Domestic abuse victims rarely press charges against their abusers, the CPS have a responsibility and a duty of care to follow through with pressing charges. Most of us probably know someone who is or has been a victim of domestic abuse, a relative in many cases. If your sister or daughter was having her head kicked in by her partner but didn't want to press charges I don't think most of us would just accept the cops dropping the case, most of us would want them to pursue charges against the abuser regardless, because it's the right thing to do.

It's sad for her loved ones that she killed herself but it's not on the CPS.

As I understand it the law was changed so they could pursue abusers in cases where the victims don't want to press charges as many of those cases end up with the victim being murdered, because if charges aren't brought there is absolutely nothing to stop the abuse from continuing.

But surely they have questions to answer over what has happened?

Heart breaking to hear Laura Whitmore now paying tribute to Caroline on 5 live, she was best friends with her and playing 'Angels'

What she did can never be excused but people have done worse or similar than her and have gotten away with it as well as not getting absolutely hammered for it in the press. Sad for her family.
