ITS LIKE EVERYONE OR AT LEAST everyone WHO WEARS A POPPY ON TELEVISION FOR SHOW. ALL THOSE MP'S ECT WHO NEVER ACTUALLY MADE A DONATION AND BOUGHT A POPPY. LETS FACE IT, SOME MAKE-UP GIRL PROBABLY PINNED IT ON THEM AS SHE APPLIED BLUSHER OR THEY PASSED AROUND THE DONATION BOX IN THE STUDIO JUST PRIOR TO BROADCAST. THE MP'S PROBABLY GOT A MEMO EMAILED FROM THEIR PERSONAL ASSISTANTS THAT MORNING SAYING, 'DON'T FORGET YOUR POPPY BEFORE YOU GO ON QUESTION TIME FOR FUCK SAKE!'. BUT THE TRUTH IS THEY ARE ALL PROUD OF OUR WAR VETERANS, BUT NOT ALL OF THEM ACTUALLY FEEL that STRONGLY ABOUT IT, JUST LIKE THEY DON'T FEEL that STRONGLY ABOUT THIS SITUATION, BUT FUCK ME THEY WOULDN'T WANT TO BE TARGETED BY THE PAPERS FOR NOT WEARING A POPPY or NOT PUBLICLY GOING APESHIT ABOUT RUSSEL AND JONATHAN.
HMM... I WEAR A POPPY EACH YEAR COS I PUT MONEY TOWARDS FUNDS FOR THOSE I FEEL DESERVE AT LEAST A LITTLE HELP, RESPECT AND GRATITUDE FOR ALL THEY DID FOR US, NOT BECAUSE IT WOULD BE CONTROVERSIAL IF I DIDN'T.
AND RUSSEL AND JONATHAN SHOULD BE BOLLOCKED AND BOOD FOR A TIME, BUT THEY ARE ACTUALLY PRETTY NICE PEOPLE WHO CROSS THE LINE SOME TIMES IN THE NAME OF COMEDY. LIKE THOUSANDS OF OTHERS, I HAD HEARD SO MANY CHINESE WHISPERS ABOUT WHAT WAS ACTUALLY SAID THAT EVEN I WENT APESHIT TOO, THEN READ ON HERE WHAT WAS ACTUALLY SAID AND NOW I TOO, LIKE THE MP'S DON'T ACTUALLY CARE that MUCH.
POOR OLD ANDREW SACKS DESERVES A PUBLIC APPOLOGIE AND A ROUND THE WORLD CRUISE PAID FOR BY BRAND AND ROSS AS COMPENSATION, BUT ITS LIKE A LYNCH MOB OUT THERE. RIDICULOUS! RAP THE NUCKLES OF ALL TOO BLAME AND MOVE ON WITH THEIR LESSONS LEARNED.

Exactly right. I think what it comes down to is that people don't like how much money they make and any chance that they get to knock them off their pedastal is taken without a seconds thought. I used to think that that was just a trait of the UK press but apparently the public are exactly the same!
Its a bit like when people booed Ashley Cole during the England game - that had nothing to do with football. It was just an excuse to attack someone for being rich and having a fit girlfriend!
It also bugs me a bit when people say that Brand / Ross deserve to be fired because they personally don't find them funny. The fact that millions of people do doesn't seem to enter into their heads...
Anyway, I hope they give it a rest now and concentrate on some ACTUAL NEWS!

over 2 million people heard the full broadcast (in context, and god know how many people downloaded it off of itunes, probably more as its a world wide download), and only 2 people complained about jonathan using the f-word.
Week later Russell says Daily Mail tacitly supported Hitler during the 1930s (which they did, fear mongering racists as they are), which really got the Daily Mails gripe, they went to the printers and now 30,000 complaints from people who read a heavily edited transcript which blew things out of proportions.
