The British girls have done well this year.

Such is the depth that there's still plenty of top players left though Cool

Dan Evans will be back to being Desperate Dan as he lost heavily.

Jabeur beat Muguruza. Sabalenka got through too.

Murray's run ran out.

Emma Raducanu is through to Round 4 at Wimbledon with a 6-3 7-5 win over Sorana Cirstea. A deeply impressive performance for so many reasons.
Cirstea had been in excellent recent form and made it tough to close out break point opportunities in the second set.
But Raducanu showed maturity beyond her tender years and held her nerve extremely well to finish the match.
Number one court seemed not to phase her either which is a good sign.
An admirable performance for a wildcard entrant who has not actually had chance to play much in 2021.

Raducanu-mania is running wild!!!

Kerber and others got through, so Monday should still have some cracking match-ups.

Norrie lost to Federer in 4 sets. But who needs the blokes anyway? Wink

Presumably doubles interest will remain as there's still a few Brits left in there.

Jabeur swatted Swiatek aside, and meets Sabalenka, who was similarly impressive against Rybakina.

Raducanu's coach is Kim Murray's father Nigel Sears. He's been a bit of a mixed bag as far as coaching is concerned having coached several top 5 players Amanda Coetzer, Daniela Hantuchova and Ana Ivanovic though hasn't really had much in the way of success with any of them. He coached Ivanovic twice when she was trying to revive her career but only got her as far as a Grand Slam quarter final.

He had an interesting relationship with Hantuchova, she reached 3 consecutive Grand Slam Quarter finals & world number 5 then lost a second round match making over 100 unforced errors leading him to publicly criticize her attitude & she dropped to 17. They split their partnership then got teamed up again where she dropped to 54 & then back up to 31.

He was also the coach of Anett Kontaveit until April who is currently in the top 20.

So while he may not be up there with the best of coaches certainly a good coach for an 18 yr old wild card ranked 338 so long as he doesn't take it upon himself to publicly criticise a teenager, plus he can also put her in touch with Andy & Judy for any some extra pointers
