Food and fuel's getting all the attention because it's something that affects everyone. But it's only half the story.

Went to get cement last week. Needed 3 tonnes and they would only give me 2, and that was only because I was an account holder. Cash sales were being limited to 5 bags.
This is where we are in this country today. Cement is being rationed ffs.

Box profile sheeting, lead time is usually between 5 and 7 days. Lead time is now "fuck knows when" (the suppliers words, not mine).

Boris is pinning everything on a speedy economic recovery to pay for the pandemic. True economic recovery starts at the bottom with raw materials. It affects manufacturing, construction, everything. Unless they get this sorted quick (and I'm talking weeks, not months, or next year sometime) there will be no recovery.

I saw this story this morning.
During a 3 day period, wind farms were paid 1.8 million to turn off by the National Grid.

It appears that there was enough supply in the areas where they are but in other areas of the country there was a shortage and that was filled by gas turbine generators.

Give me strength. shocked

Can anyone organise a power cut at Daily Hell's HQ for a few days (or even may be) a few weeks?
