Glad not only Tubs Murphy but also Borey Hawkins gone. Too much to hope for Bingham making it a hat-trick I suppose.

Robertson finished off Hugill after a fashion this morning 10-5. The scrappy 5th frame yesterday turned it all around for the Aussie.

Higgins finished off Thepchaiya this morning, with some pretty patronising commentary from Dennis Taylor and Tubs Murphy.

Commentary at the end of the first session in the Higgins match was laughable, can't remember if it was Virgo or Taylor (both equally shite) but they kept referring to Thepchaiya as "a young man" .... he's nearly forty bladewave

During the first interval of the Selby-Jones first morning match, John Parrott gave it "well, this just shows me why Jamie Jones is not a Top 16 player". Ding the Merciless isn't either, but he can fall off the bloody tour and he'll still be treated better than most. The premise that there is an elite might have washed in the 80s and 90s, but now when the rankings are so inconstant, there's a lot wider field of talent.

Thepchaiya in one frame stuffed a red along the bottom cushion & got patronised for even trying it. Minutes later, he won the frame with a similar yet tougher shot rolled along the top cushion, but memories are always short when it suits.

To be fair, anybody under 75 is young from Taylor & Virgo's perspective.
