For me it's lightning fast at the moment (429 users online). I'm sure it's faster than a couple of days ago.

There was a 30% rise in site traffic yesterday, hopefully it will return to normal soon. My mobile phone is faster than my PC at the moment.

Its been very variable this afternoon. Sometimes it freezes for 10 seconds or more and then its normal again. Some parts of the forum seem faster than others.
Presumably some kids are still off with their schools closed due to the bad weather.
I certainly expected the forum to be faster today than it has been.

Yep, I find it dreadfully slow recently. It can take 30 seconds from clicking on a link to the new page being loaded. I'm on a fast Virgin Media connection and all other websites are behaving normally.

Work is being done to try and optimise performance. It could help if anyone reporting slowness can note the number of users online at the time, as the problem seems to revolve around a high number of visitors.
Just now, with 404 users online, I loaded this thread in 1.8 seconds, which is pretty reasonable, and managed to load the index page in only 0.16 seconds. The problems must kick in at a much higher number of users.

No speed problem apparent at the moment - apart from on occasional "stick" the speed is good (with 528 users).
