Yes the tournament is already guaranteed to be a financial success. In fact the prize pool for the competing clubs is more than double the prize pool for the FIFA World cup 2022.

It's been a good tournament throughout but yesterday was surely the best day so far. Al Hilal knocking out Man City was sensational.

I'm very impressed that João Pedro had a personal trainer with him whilst on holiday in Rio, so when Chelsea signed him he could join the squad right away and was ready to go. Very professional. Nice that he didn't celebrate against his old club too, saying that having been a youth player there he owed them a lot. Speaking of old clubs, Thiago Silva has played for 3 of the 4 semi-finalists in this competition.

The last time Real Madrid conceded 3 goals in the first 24 minutes of a match, before last night, was November 2003 (vs Sevilla in La Liga).
