I saw this and it restored my faith in human nature.
Dave Grohl Cool is a fantastic story teller who's not too big to get his hands dirty and muck in. He's also the first one to laugh at himself.
Brian Johnson, I know him less well, his is not my sound but nonetheless the accent made him so listenable.
I didn't watch it all, it might have been two hours but I'd happily dig in again the next time it's repeated.

Yeah, I'm not a Foo Fighters fan (unsurprisingly), but I have no qualms about Dave. I even read the biog of him.

You remind me, I don't think there was an episode last night Sad

The first 2 From The Vaults were quality stuff. A similar series ran yonks ago with Andy Kershaw doing the sarcastic Northern voiceover. Has Mark Radcliffe made that obligatory, or is it all meant to be some witless homage to John Peel?

Caught up with this. Fun to see Adamski, Lindy Layton and MC Tunes after all these years. MC Tunes sounds like the kind of bloke who would still have done Celeb Big Brother if asked.

Soundtracks : Songs That Defined History - Sky Arts 02.00 - Kent State Massacre & the Vietnam War, the politically driven songs of Neil Young & Buffalo Springfield take on new meaning.

BBC4 have a doc on tomorrow night, Lennon's New York Years or something (plus another chance to see A Hard Day's Night)

Now80s by contrast are running a whole week (mostly repeats) of stuff, including interviews and stuff from Parky, Old Grey Whistle Test and Dick Cavett, plus other docs on various Lennon-based topics.

^^ To mark the 40th Anniversary of his death in believe.

And also that old saw "he would have been 80 today, if he had lived".
