RE: Rishi Sunak - and his miserly Government - The Silent Majority - 28-04-2023 06:13 It was a shitty move by the government, and the nurses clearly deserve a substantial pay rise. But... It was sheer stupidity by the RCN to press ahead with the strike once it was pointed out to them. It's just simple arithmetic and the ability to read a calendar ffs. All they had to do was bring the strike forward a day. It was their own pig headedness that allowed this to get to court. It says something that they didn't even defend the case. If I was a nurse, I'd be absolutely fuming that the union bosses got themselves into this position. RE: Rishi Sunak - and his miserly Government - skully - 28-04-2023 11:46 They don't seem to be able to catch a break do they. All that pan banging and clapping was nice, but paying them more is what most of us want to see. Maybe the plan was to make the Govt take them to court to make them look as shitty as possible to win the Media war RE: Rishi Sunak - and his miserly Government - dundeered - 28-04-2023 12:28 Rishi Sunak attended the Scottish Conservative Party conference and denied access to the Scottish press, then he changed his mind and asked Scottish journalists to delete social media posts complaining about it. https://twitter.com/ginadavidsonlbc/status/1651893308195520513?s=20 It seems hypocritical for the Conservatives to complain about the lack of transparency from the SNP when the Prime Minister struggles to be transparent himself. Secondly, the attendance for the Scottish Conservative Party conference is very poor. The main conference hall seats 360 people and this (https://twitter.com/htscotpol/status/1651867978206519302?s=61&t=3OodtZMhCvNXcQ2MhJtEqQ) how many seats they could fill.
