Steelers 17 - 19 Bengals
The Bengals finished off the regular season with their 5th straight win, despite a late rally from the Steelers. The Bengals need help to make the playoffs as they require the Broncos to lose & the Dolphins to lose or tie.
I had a theory that the Chiefs wouldn't want the Bengals in the playoff & decide not to rest Mahomes & other starters against the Broncos, but I guesss that they are looking at the bigger picture.
The Steelers would've faced the Texans in the playoffs, with a win, now it's the Ravens, which is not what they need, & after 4 straight losses.

Some close finishes in the early Sunday matches. Patriots sealing a 23-16 victory against the Bills.
Colts beating Jaguars 26-23.
Commanders edging out the Cowboys 23-19. And a bonkers game between Panthers and Falcons still going on at 38-38 eek. Edit: Panthers got the win in overtime 44-38.

I'll leave Rammy to do his customary reaction on the Bears Wink

I’m here!!!!! BEARS WIN!!!!!!!!! wouldn't say it's been customary this season Snooks as today was Chicago's 1st win since they played in London back in October, had been on a 10gm losing streak since then till today

Well done Rammy..

Today The Patriots have beaten the Bills 23-16....

And the Kraft family were so happy, it's reported that they have sacked the head coach Jerod Mayo.

By beating the Bills the Patriots lost the first pick in the draft. Now I'm not saying that they are connected but it has been mentioned before about losing the first pick by winning a pointless game at the end of the session.

Lions 31 - 9 Vikings
The Lions D are defying logic, despite all the injuries they continue to perform at a high level. Aaron Glen will be a Head Coach somewhere next season. After looking composed for the majority of the season Darnold looked completely shellshocked as the game wore on. The Lions brought the pressure, & even when he bought some time the secondary coverage was outstanding. Darnold had only 18 completions from 41 attempts for 166 yards.
The Lions Red-Zone Defence was stand-out, as the Vikings were limited to Field Goals. The Vikings were only 3/13 on 3rd downs & were stopped on all three 4th down attempts.
Credit for the most part to the Vikings defence, as the game was still in the balance late in the 3rd quarter, but the Lions eventually wore them down & reeled off 3 unanswered TD'S. Jahmyr Gibbs leads the League in combined TD's after 139 yards on 23 carries & 3 TD's & 5 catches for 31 & a TD.
This was a perfect example of complimentary football, Goff even had the luxory of throwing 2 interceptions, but still only missed on 6 targets from his 33 attempts.

Yesterday produced a penalty that I haven't seen before.

After catching the ball the wide receivers celebration moves included what was interpreted as holding a rifle.
It resulted in what I believe was classed as Unsportsmanlike Conduct with a 5 metre penalty.

^^ There's always been rules regarding celebrations. In 2017 the rules were relaxed as complaints from fans & the media, it was jokingly called the No Fun League. This season the officials seem to be clamping down on gun celebrations, but anything remotely violent is outlawed, simulating firing a bow & arrow or brandishing a sword or knife. There's been a number of fines, & some penalties, but not all are called & they need to be more consistent. It's a gray area & sometimes difficult to interpret, others more obvious.

The Rams v Vikings MNF Playoff game is currently set to go ahead at SoFi Stadium in California, but the NFL has contingencies plans to move the fixture to the Arizona Cardinals State Farm Stadium in Glendale due to the wildfires in LA.
