RE: Ofcom Discussion - RCTV - 02-11-2013 13:47 I think ofcom vary on what the government are at the time. The number of adult channels has moved on sky, giving them less space for less channels, no surprise considering government. Ofcom did used to, don't know if they still do, say that educational is fine, and if it is part of an artwork it is allowed, but if it is for money or is just showing sex then it's not allowed. RE: Ofcom Discussion - bigguy01 - 02-11-2013 22:55 i think ofcom are jealous has the tits are better on the channels than in their office. Channel 5 recently repeated A 20th Century Girls Guide To Sex, the series with internal camera shots and ejaculation, so yes, "educational" is still tolerated. RE: Ofcom Discussion - RCTV - 03-11-2013 15:17 Eccles is a repeat though, already been shown, and as a repeat, most probably with no complaints. Ofcom don't have many people below 40, odd few doing admin work. RE: Ofcom Discussion - hatessexistofcom - 04-11-2013 08:55 (02-11-2013 01:59 )eccles Wrote: But the Artsy crowd do. They "have to emphasise the depth of the relationship" or "intensity" or some other bollocks. It damn well is its double standards a video/picture showing genitals is a video/picture showing genitals no matter what context..They can show female genitals on medical programmes but is pixelated clouded out on rest of UK tv.There is no difference from a cat shown on a pet programme to a cat that is shown at beginning of Coronation ST its still a bloody cat. It is just bare faced pure hypocrisy and double standards where male genitals always shown whereas females are censored.. Oh you may have already seen this bit behind ATM, http://melonfarmers.wordpress.com/2013/11/03/babes-driven-offshore-babe-channels-operated-by-satellite-entertainment-ltd-close/ RE: Ofcom Discussion - matt38 - 04-11-2013 19:22 Got something to beat all of the past posts, it seems executions by way of shooting in the back of the head is ok to broadcast without any pixelation before midnight but after the watershed. Can't remember what program was but it might have been itv1 over the weekend. Real or action movie? It would help expose double standards if anyone has an old copy of the Radio Times lying around and could work out what the show was and what time. Channel 4 seem to have shown some related footage but its hard to say how graphic it was. ITN might have picked up the story - the Commonwealth Conference is being held there and its a controversial choice. India TV News RE: Ofcom Discussion - mr mystery - 06-11-2013 13:26 Iv'e only just noticed that Ofcom's latest broadcast bulletin came out on the the other day, issue number 241 and dated 04/11/2013 . Iv'e just been having a quick look through it to see if any babe channels get a mention . Storm have had a complaint made against them for something broadcast on their evening show on the 02/10/2013, Ofcom have decided not to investigate this further . RLC have also had a complaint made against them for something broadcast on RLC 2 on the 31st of August 2013, Ofcom are taking this complaint further and have launched a investigation into this incident... I wonder who was on RLC 2 on that date ? . I may have missed a complaint or two as of yet iv'e only had a quick look through the bulletin |
