I was looking at the Daily Mail website and at the right side of the page it offered a story about Danica and Rhian modelling in some sort of photoshoot (I think the pics are similar to what HannahsPet posted). It seemed to be the main story in the Daily Mail's showbiz section
Anyway, I just hope this isn't the beginning of my worst fears and Danica stories are splashed across newspapers every week

My only other comment on the subject is in regard to Danica's pleading that she was broke and had to do the chat shows. That infers she didn't like doing the shows, but from what I've seen she had some very good laughs during her time, enjoyed the fact that she could obviously get guys to come with her teasing and dirty talk (only have to look at her expressions when a call ended to know the guy at the other end had just cum his load) and didn't have to have any coaching at all in her teasing (occasional looks at her monitor showed how sexy she was looking at the time). Let's face it, she was probaly the best at her job (when she turned up and turned it on). I haven't seen anyone else so far on Elite (sorry Studio 66) since she left that can tease so well in such a slow sexy manner. I've grown bored already with pneumatic, tattooed, overly made up tarts vigourously waggly a phone at me and just going through the overt motions of wobbly her bum as fast as she can and saying the same old crap like a Yank pornstar (Yeah Yeah do me baby, etc.) And yes I know Danica's tits are false, but they are reasonably proportional to her body (as are Dionne's for example). It was obvious that once she got some fame like this she would come the old story and bend the truth a little. Won't be surprised to see Max Clifford popping his head over the parapet (as he did for Imogen whatsit)

To back up or just give more substance to the post two above this one......... Not many of the top girls also did quite so much flashing as Danica either; there are many caps and videos here and elsewhere, showing her flashing her tea towel holder and her pussy itself. So if she really had hated doing the shows that much, then me thinks she lying...... more likely she just wants to move into other forms of the entertainment business where people would look down their noses at her having done all this; which is why she keeps trying, but failing, to distance herself from it all..... agreeing to be on that 'rinsing' programme was more of a big mistake though, as it took her from only really being known to a small audience here, into a national one....!

I agree completely. Hardly the act of someone who didn't want to be there and remember, these were still pre 9.00pm shows primarily!

Exactly. You've summed it up.
But you've gotta give people the stories they want and need in order to make that cash. Newspapers just want simple stories for simple people who believe anything as long as it can be served to them in one sentence. In reality, everything's a shade of grey – it's never black or white. But you can't print shades of grey, because most readers don't understand it, and don't want to read it.
Was Elite TV Danica's ideal job? I suspect not. But beyond that it gets complicated. It would be beyond the scope of those primary-school-compatible newspaper articles to document the real thought process she would have gone through when evaluating whether or not to go into babe channel work.
Of course she wasn't forced to do it – I'm sure she recognises that more than anyone. But I dare say she did have reservations about it, and I'm guessing that if she'd had limitless funds she wouldn't have done it. Facing facts, most girls on the channels don't do it because they’re suddenly struck with an overwhelming desire to wank off blokes over the phone, or to listen to their relentless bullshit on the day shows. They do it because it pays well, and it usually gives them plenty of spare time to do other things. That alone has to appeal way above doing a 50 hour week for three or four hundred quid.
None of the above means that working on a babe channel is wrong, obviously, or that the girls in general think it's wrong. It's not wrong. It's as valid a job as any other, and it's a hell of a lot more valid than many jobs I can think of. But it's stigmatised by supposedly civilised society (even the day shows), and it's not nice to be stigmatised. So that's always gonna be a factor in whether the girls go into that type of work. And it's also gonna be a factor in how they account for their decisions to the public, once they've moved on into a less stigmatised situation. As I say, it's all a big shade of grey, and it's complicated. And other experiences the girls have whilst working on the shows complicate things further still I'm sure.
But you try explaining all that to a Daily Star reader who can't digest more than one sentence per paragraph. You're pretty much into the territory of: "Yes, I thought it was a great idea and I jumped at the opportunity", or "No, I didn't want to do it but I had to". Danica's seemingly gone for the latter, but what I saw of her in her televised interviews after Big Brother suggests to me that she'd have a deeper and more reasoned outlook than that. She's a bright girl who now needs to explain a very complicated picture to stupid people. And now, it's not really about what Danica wants to say – it's about what others expect her to say, and what newspaper editors think is gonna sell. She's no pushover, but in the world she's in now, she's gonna be interacting with some very powerful personalities... and in these interactions she ain’t gonna be getting money for a smile. If she wants to sell a story, she's gonna have to say what people want to hear.
There's a reason the saying "Don't believe everything you read in newspapers" became so widely used.

I think this is an absurd over-estimate...
Rhian and Danica got a reported £40K each for going in the house - not bad for a few days work by a couple of glamous models, but not that much after you've paid tax on it.
Nowadays, the newspapers simply don't pay £500K for the type of "tittle tattle" Danica could provide - Prince whats-his-name and The Situation just aren't big-enough names even if something had happened, and the Rinsing angle isn't really "news" any more.
The biggest payer of all was the now defunct News of the World, and - as we now know - they typically paid £10-£20K for stuff like this.
Now, if Danica's rinsing had included gifts from a serving Tory cabinet minister or minor royal, we might be talking £100K+ - more for a Lib Dem as - let's face it - sexual antics are pretty standard stuff for Tories...
I'm sure she'll get copy in the Mail, Star, etc. for a few days, and plenty of Nuts/Zoo shoots, but that's not going to bring in £500K or anything like...
Still not bad wonga, but celebrity big brother isn't a new idea any more and the novelty wore off a long time ago - which is why Channel 4 sold the franchise.
For whatever reason, there are some teenagers (notably young women) who admire her and find her actions "empowering" - she'd be better off trying to find ways of "rinsing" those kids if she can.
Let's face it, Danica doesn't have any self-respect issues to deal with...

Think Light Entertainment has summed it up perfectly. Truth is that Danica reinvented Daytime Elite TV - the present Studio 66 girls are in some cases hot girls (not Vikki Thomas obviously) coasting as agony Aunts. In my eyes the same applies to her revolution of Night Shows creativity and tease and I find that the crude and unimaginative simulated humping done by the present crop done with either bordeom or OTT effusiveness written all over them is almost offensive even to FHMs.
A suggestion is that she goes the Burlesque act route like Dita Von Tease. I think she has that ability, but what is sure is that Danice AT THIS MOMENT has special sexual qualities and character traits and I can't think of anyone - and that includes Pamela Anderson and Dita - who can approach her in that regard; closest is probably Marilyn Monroe. I know it was good for a CBBBTS TV placebo for her to say she had flirted too far but I think that actually her commercial success may depend on showing herself as the ultimate Vamp (just as Jasmine has temporarily identified herself as the ultimate Psychotic.). May not lead to a happy personal Life for her and may not be her preference (or even mine) but in terms of commercial value I have no doubt that that credo offers her the best chance of media success - film stage or tv.
Maybe I am wrong. Maybe she makes Catalogue Fashion for example work but it must be almost taken for granted that she ain't going to be going back to babeshows. Sad for us Danica lovers but in truth do any of us think that any of the current channels as they are deserve her?
