Murray must pay what ever it takes to keep Lendl as his coach

With him - 3 grand slams & Olympic gold

Without him - zilch

Don't forget Jamie Delgado - he's a long time friend of Murray and stepped in as his coach this year.

Andy Murray was like a wall today.
Nothing was going to break him.
Rock solid on serve.
Consistent pressure applied to his opponent all the way through the match.
Saved his best performance for the final.

The whole tournament has been impressive from Murray.
Calm, assured and driven to the last.
It has felt comfortable watching him this last fortnight. He had things under control. The two sets he lost against Tsonga required almost superhuman tennis from the Frenchman.
But Murray found an extra gear in that fifth set and from there didn't look back. Swatted Berdych away with ease and then a quite superb performance to see off Raonic.
Murray deserves all the plaudits but more than anything he deserves to enjoy this moment. He has worked so damned hard. A credit to himself, his family and his sport.
Many many congratulations to him.

Andy Murray has got it tough in New York this year.
Dimitrov tonight could be a tad tricky. The Bulgarian seems to have found some form and rhythm in recent times.
If Murray gets through that it will be Nishikori or Karlovic.
Tough opponents both.

But then it gets seriously difficult.
Potential semi against Del Potro who continues to play some scintillating tennis. And he will be relatively fresh after his fourth round opponent Dominic Thiem retired a set and a half into their match. And Del Potro will be extra motivated after his defeat to Murray in Rio.

Then if Murray gets through that it's very possibly you know who again Rolleyes who awaits in the final.
And you know who seems to be firing again judging by his performance against Kyle Edmund.

Not only that Murray came into this event after a large number of matches in a two week period of the Olympic tennis schedule and Cincinatti on the ATP tour.
Was it 14 matches in 15 days or something similar?
He then has 8 days off and has to go again to win 7 best of 5 setters in a row. Tough ask.
But if anyone can do it Murray can Wink.

But just think if he does win he gets just a few days off before having to play Del Potro yet again in the Davis Cup Surprised.
