I can't believe how well things have gone so far. After 13 matches of the season we are top of the table and amazingly 14 pts clear of 3rd place.

It required a fantastic defensive performance by Leeds to break Leicester's 9 match winning streak. Unlikely that they can be caught. Ipswich are most likely to falter.

We lost a couple of matches in November, including the Leeds one, but it's been another amazing run since then, 11 wins in 14 matches. We ought to be close to clinching promotion by now, but Leeds, Southampton and Ipswich are all on great runs as well. I think whoever finishes 3rd and 4th this season would have been promoted automatically in any other season.

Leicester City are back on top. After dropping to 3rd place as Ipswich and Leeds reeled us in, we're back in pole position after those 2 clubs lost today. With our points tally we should be almost home and dry by now, but Ipswich and Leeds just can't be shaken off (those 2 could say the same of course).

Leicester are now the joint most promoted club to the Premier League with Norwich and West Brom - all promoted 5 times.

^^ But you have to get relegated quite often in order to gain promotion.
