think it will be over by lunch tomorrow and England will regain the ashes. all those who said Australia would win 5-0 will be eating lots of humble pie tomorrow

so would I be right in assuming that if it DID finish tomorrow, it would be technically be called an innings win?

Going off for bad light!!!!!!!
Is there a rule that you can only play cricket in sunglasses wearing weather?
I get the feeling the authorities lent on the umpires.
I remember going back to the days of Dickie Bird
First day was a wash out fans got their money back. Second day they came out
The bowler bowled 2 balls Dickie got his light meter out they want off never returned. Fans could not get their money back. Obviously I'm being dim but how can the light deteriorate that much in 2 balls? lucky Dickie had presence of mind to check his light meter after 2 balls rather than wait for an over to be bowled.

Back to the present Trent bridge has floodlights does it not? No sport can survive when they show blatant disregard for the paying public.

It will only be an innings win if England don't need to bat again.

They went off at 6:27 instead of 6:30 so the paying public haven't got much to complain about.

They were allowed to have the extra half hour if one team is convinced they could force a result. Going off for bad light denied England the opportunity.

The umpires should have halted play earlier. It had been dark at Trent Bridge for a while. Realistically, there was no chance at all of playing for another half an hour.

I would say if we can't polish off the Aussies in the first half hour today we may have to wait until after lunch to seal the win

"THEY'RE COMING HOME, THEYRE COMING HOME, THE ASHES ARE COMING HOME.."
