This is going to be tense all the way, I can just imagine Starc getting a few early wickets.... RE: ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 - Charlemagne - 11-07-2019 13:05 I hope that the umpires are equally balance when it comes to both teams with LBW's . RE: ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 - Cooper_temple - 11-07-2019 13:08 AUS 223 all out 49 overs. Perhaps the early inroads England made was the main reason Australia fell short - (30 - 40 runs I reckon) - but I am not sure this pitch is the batting surface (thankfully) most thought, so this chase (with added pressure of final place at stake), may not be straight forward, and where England's bowlers had the upper hand early on, Starc etc can surely follow suit! England's preferred m.o of pushing ahead with an attacking brand of batting might see them land in the deep stuff!, alternatively, being too watchful and safe, hands initiative to the Aussies particularly Starc up front! Ain't a given at all!! RE: ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 - billyboy1963 - 11-07-2019 14:47 England going well so far at 80 for no wicket after 14 overs RE: ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 - Cooper_temple - 11-07-2019 14:50 It’s coming home RE: ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 - Rammyrascal - 11-07-2019 16:14 ENGLAND WIN BY 8 WICKETS!! England: 224-2 (32.1 overs) Australia: 223 all out (49 overs) RE: ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 - Charlemagne - 11-07-2019 16:39 New Zealand in the final. The last time that there was such a potentially one sided match was when Jo Konta played an unknown unseeded veteran in her quarter final at Wimbledon. RE: ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 - Snooks - 11-07-2019 17:11 Whaaaaaaattttttttt? That was far too straightforward a victory . This is England. England are meant to make life difficult or impossible for themselves and self destruct in ridiculous fashion . I'm appalled. I demand an independent public inquiry. We can't have England getting to a World Cup final with such a one sided win . It's an outrage . The players need to give themselves a severe reprimand to ensure this sort of behaviour is not repeated . |
