RE: Rubbish Night Tonight On The Babe Channels - IvIaxed Stats 76 - 04-12-2011 01:44 i think it would be nice to find a happy medium here ? thier must be some way round it ? are ofcom just into fining the stations alot of money for gain in these financially hard times or is their a genuine complaints comittee who have received enough un-happy viewers to actually be serious about the shows being offensive ? maybe where singing from a different song sheet but this sort of thiings been going on since the dawn of time and if it didnt we as humans wouldnt be around now to contimplating this issue opposites atract and a man is always going to admire a womans beauty and vice versa-and i think its only in the head of said people who are out to stop are entertainment that this is wrong, its not the worst thing in the world to be doing right now and to be honest its probably stopped alot of stuff that might of happened-many a time the shows have cheered me up when i would least feel like being happy and if thats the kind of effect it has then how can it be bad ? i love the girls i love the shows but as much as i hate to admit it,us as viewers seem to be getting the short end of the stick these days and i dont want to incurr your wrath rammy or anyone else for that matter,i`m only saying that the shows have the power to make people happy & not to be cast as wrong or anything like that you only have to see my babe list signature and the memories of all them are sure to make you smile,it would be better though to see them all actually enjoying themselves again.i hope you all know im on both sides but it should be fine with the right parenting ? Ofcom are hardly likely to loosen the rules of their own accord, and the channels have no intention of doing anything about it. RE: Rubbish Night Tonight On The Babe Channels - Rammyrascal - 04-12-2011 01:58 yeah your right there RE: Rubbish Night Tonight On The Babe Channels - IvIaxed Stats 76 - 04-12-2011 02:02 (04-12-2011 01:51 )Rammyrascal Wrote:(04-12-2011 01:39 )iloveMegan Wrote:(04-12-2011 01:35 )Rammyrascal Wrote: the producers have toned down the shows to conform to the rules otherwise they get punished and ultimately get taken off the air and even you dont want that, nothing to do with pandering to ofcom how do you know they wont change or anytime soon rammy wtf dude who`s side are you on come on lad play the game haha we need to get it into the people who are in charge that its a bit too much,i agree about not showing offensive shit, thats not what i want at all but come on man what gives with all this rules bussiness mate i know its work and a job for the people involved and i`d hate the shows not to be on the telly but to say that takes away almost all hope lol do you understand mate,we or rather i am trying to be philosopically enthusiastic & hopefull and i`d rather not have them all dashed by you saying that we need encouraging statements of love and joy and a beautiful horizon -- come on ofcom or whoever is in charge enoughs enough.please relax the rules and lets just have the fun shows back.....it beats watching coronation street or repeats of batman RE: Rubbish Night Tonight On The Babe Channels - Scottishbloke - 04-12-2011 02:04 So Rammy you've just totally contradicted yourself their then which renders your first post in disagreement to mine as rather pointless, make your fucking mind up, one minute you're backing the petition and in agreement how the producers should be doing more to make a stand and the next you're defending them, just exactly what fucking side are you on as you change your argument more times than a Liberal MP RE: Rubbish Night Tonight On The Babe Channels - StanTheMan - 04-12-2011 03:00 I know I keep asking this, and no one yet has been able to answer me with absolute certainty, but do we know for certain that the babeshows are actually losing money?? To be fair, the question hasn't been answered because that kind of information has to be looked for and even when it's found it's just a bunch of figures that mean very little anyway. The only persons who could give a definite answer are the producers themselves, but when do they ever bother coming on here?? The point I'm getting round to hear, is that as much as we wish the channels would stand up to Ofcom, they currently feel they have no need to. All they care about is making money, and while they are they're going to continue kowtowing to Ofcom. It's no good us presuming the people behind these shows care about civil liberties and 'freedom of choice' as much as we do, because they don't. The guy at Playboy that you linked to in the other thread, SB, is the exception here, but he's only one voice and it won't do any good unless the other producers get behind him, and I don't for second believe they will. P.s. i was told that Dani O' Neill had retired to do more work off camera and run a talent agency! My take on this however is the companies can certainly do more to make their case heard and challenge the authorities. If they stopped trying to fuck each oher and collaborate as an industry they may get more change out of Ofcom in the last two years there must have been a couple of million paid in fines this could have gone on legal fees. Putting out a shit product will eventually have a negative return. |
