Sick people who use thirst sites RE: Internet Porn Site Regulation - Tractor boy - 16-01-2019 14:42 Has the forum made any plans ready for the impending change in the law ? RE: Internet Porn Site Regulation - circles_o_o_o - 16-01-2019 16:00 I have read that this new law will only apply to sites which have more than 33% pornographic content, so one way round it could be to create a large news, sport and games section to tip the balance. Any guesses what this site's percentage is? Some cynics may say that nothing pornographic has happened here since 2010 anyway. Yes we have had face to face discussions with a representative of the BBFC. RE: Internet Porn Site Regulation - ShandyHand - 28-01-2019 15:02 ^ Can you say who approached who in that? Can you provide details of what you were advised at this point? Is the forum aware of any details the operators might have been told also? Just for those unaware, if sites are going to be in the BBFC's first wave of licenses (which I assumed was unlikely for any relevant here - as regulator has said this will be the Top 50 porn sites) the 90 day window for those affected to get their house in order began about a week ago. RE: Internet Porn Site Regulation - Tractor boy - 30-01-2019 13:38 With the forum no longer showing caps from bsx, the majority of the content on this site can be viewed unrestricted on Sky or Freeview, surely it's only some of the pornstar pics that would fall into the restricted category, and that is way less than 33% of the forum. RE: Internet Porn Site Regulation - russmeyer - 30-01-2019 19:11 where did you see this the 90 day window for those affected to get their house in order began about a week ag RE: Internet Porn Site Regulation - thefred - 30-01-2019 19:16 Sorry if this has been asked before but will the age verification effect website visitors from outside the UK as well? The second revised date of implementation was announced (as by Easter this year) last November with the 3 months reconfirmed at that point (for instance here's the Independent from the time). The government then dotted some i's at the beginning of the year so all would now seem to be in place for the Easter date to be meet. AV gateways will only appear to those trying to access from a UK IP address. (As far as I know I don't think that's currently the case - it's just the ones where - I assume - certain performers have asked them to be moved out of the general threads ?) But yes overall it would probably still be less than 33% - especially given the recent explosion in nostalgia and trivia facts threads |
