RE: Ofcom Discussion - eccles - 10-08-2014 00:18

Saw Bear Gryls pissing on his shirt then wearing it to keep the desert heat off on a survival show at 5pm today. No cock (fortunately) but the stream of urine was clearly visible, then he put it on his head. Later he ate a scorpion ("Like a mouthful of pus") and a raw lizard that he had chopping in half.

And all done in the best possible taste.

Yet babes arent allowed to say "cock" at 1am or dribble suggestively in case it offends someone.

No Ofcom Broadcast Bulletin today.

Perhaps they have seen the futility of what they do and given up.

one thing I miss about the dayshows is the girls wearing bikinis. sadly, ofcunt has put paid to that be allowed. heres an idea to bring it back (however crazy!) if we all collectively made FALSE claims against all channels regarding seeing girls wearing a bikini during the day, to the point where they have to investigate 1000's of different complaints on different days. after spending time and money on false accusations, they MIGHT think it would be better to just relax said rule!

If anyone can get a wank out of the stuff Bear Grylls does, then we have some very dangerous people on the loose.

Sorry buddy your suggestion wouldn't work.
Offcom say it is fine for other channels to have girls in bikinis. (just as long as you don't advertise your station as adult).
i.e. Home & way, Baywatch. The person wearing the bikini doesn't even have to be 18. Hell the camera can even do a slow motion shot zoomed in on bouncing boobs in a bikini.
In the real world not on TV, it is also fine for kids to be on beaches with women in bikinis or even topless.

OF COURSE THIS IS FINE BECAUSE THIS IS NORMAL BEHAVIOUR CARRIED OUT BY NORMAL PEOPLE.

What is abnormal behaviour is to have adult performers covered up from top to toe whilst on an adult channel that kids shouldn't be watching. Any responsible parent wouldn't let their kids watch.

Maybe that is why an increasing number of people are turning out gay or 'confused'. Normal behaviour is being preached to them as wrong by the TV.

I hear what your saying. but they did allow it in the past, so there is no reason why they shouldn't again.

I suppose that a lot depends on who is in charge and how much pressure is being exerted by Ofcon's masters ( gov't of the day) to keep erotic entertainment contained to a greater or lesser degree.

Scary thought, and not what I was suggesting, but I see where you are coming from .... no,no,no!

All I meant is rules should be consistent. Pissing in any form is considered offensive in anglosaxon cultures, so why is it ok to feature the application of urine soaked clothing to the human body in a large audience show before the, ahem, watershed, particularly when that show attracts a large under 18 audience?

I suspect wearing piss soaked clothing, let alone applying it to the face, would not even be permitted in R18 sex films under humiliation and degradation rules.

As for bikinis and other sexy gear, Oftos banned so called fetish gear during daytime (wow, do they have a lot to learn about real fetish gear), but that may have changed now that Mary Anne Sieghart has been appointed to the Content Committee. For those who dont know, she was a former assistant editor of The Times, is not ginger, and dressed up in a French Maid outfit for a 6 minute piece on the BBCs This Week news roundup.

A member of the Content Committee has validated fetishwear in BBC news journalism, and I bet Ofcom would not lift a finger to ban daytime repeats.

Put a daytime babe in exactly the costume and let Oftos wriggle out of that one.

You obviously haven't seen the episode yet where he pisses into his canteen then drinks it ... I think his comment was 'Oooh, salty'!

I also recall a thing some time back, probably on channel4, where they took various celebs and sent them on various courses, like fire-walking and suchlike. One course was about 'personal enlightenment' or some such nonsense, and the key feature was that they had to drink their own pee. I seem to vaguely recall that former page 3'er Jo Guest was one of the celebs, possibly on that very course, but I may well be wrong.

In the immortal words of Kenny Everett : 'It's all done in the best possible taste'!
