The worst thing about it is that thanks to bloody PC nanny state meddling we now miss 2 whole hours of footage that Sky viewers CAN see. What is stopping 12 year olds watching it on Sky, absolutely NOTHING!! So why the hell are freeview being penalised!?

probablu to do with ofcom or it could be that they make the most money from sky so want to give more time to sky and make more money

It strikes me that the rot began to set in when they launched Xtreme, everything was fine and dandy for years before then. Kill it off and maybe then we'll get somewhere. Maybe they think that kids will try getting onto Xtreme from 10 and are starting an hour later when they think less of them will be up. Bollocks, if they want it they'll find a way!

YES so it looks like us Freeviewers are being penalised again at the expense of Sky;UNFAIR!

The EPG confirms it. Thing is, 96 is currently a black screen right now!

EDIT: Whew! It's back, just in time for Daryl, who we wouldn't have seen if this was 24 hours later!

I wonder if it's an attempt at a compromise with the regulator regarding their proposals for a midnight kick-off on Freeview.
Yes i was also wondering if the switch from 10pm to 11pm was some sort of compromise between Cellcast and OFCOM, because if BS1 was not allowed to transmit before 12am how could they advertise BSXtream before the it starts and how could you press the red button and get your pin before midnight , unless of course they started Xtream later . Also i have just re- scaned my tv and freeview recorders and tv news 2 channel 90 has been removed , so this leaves space available on freeview for someone to broadcast a show for 24 hours a day , BLUEBIRD perhaps ? , they did say a daytime show was under consideration .

No it is not bluebird but a news channel that go out on channel 85 & also tv news on channel 89 also becomes a news channel from 6pm to 11pm

Just checked my EPG this morning after seeing the previous posts.
It has BS starting at 11pm from now on.
It also still says that Babestation is on ch99 from 5am to 6am and its description is the normal babestation description, talking about interacting with the girls. When I checked this a couple of nights ago it was actually just 1 hour of teleshopping adverts.

Lolly said on her FB yesterday that she had to go to a BS meeting, I wonder if this was what it was about?

we are indeed losing 10pm-11pm from tonight onwards unfortunately, the capacity is needed for sky sports to launch Sad

who wants sports when you can have Babestation hey!

This will presumably be an encrypted channel.
I wonder why they can't use their existing Sky Sports News channel, which is due to be removed from Freeview later this year?

EDIT @ 12.15pm
Thinking about it, they will probably use their "News" channel to advertise Sky Sports, just like ch96 pre midnight is used to advertise XTREME.
