I think for the most part i think alot of people prefer her with long hair, she looks more attractive with long hair in my opinion and it's makes her look more 'feminine' and i think she wouldn't get so much negative remarks if she had long hair and maybe if she didn't talk with that annoying voice

Personally (as a quailified hairdresser lol) I thought the long blonde hair was unflattering and a bit lifeless - whereas the short hair highlights her impressive bone structure and compliments her 'edgy' personality
And long hair does not automatically = 'feminine'....just look at Lemmy from Motorhead
And the voice doesn't seem to be too bad....considering it's the lifeblood of her job

Yvette is one of the few girls on BS with a genuine personality and the ability to deal with anything that's thrown at her (and we threw a few curve balls at her one night when she least expected it and she dealt with it awesomely - See here)
There are others with personality (Camilla, Dionne, Caty, Daryl) but none have had to face the test Yvette had that night and just run with it
